Questions
How do I make a volunteer sign-up sheet online?
Start a Pip, choose the sign-up list, and add one row for each shift or role. Include the time window in the row name, set how many volunteers each shift needs, and share the link with your list.
Can I ask for more than one volunteer per shift?
Yes. Each row has its own limit, so setup can take three people while the raffle table takes one. When a shift fills, it shows as full and people move to the ones still open.
Do volunteers need to create an account?
No. They open the link, add their name, and claim a shift. Nothing to download and nothing to remember a password for.
How do I see which shifts are still empty?
Your organizer view shows every row with how many spots are claimed and how many are left, so you know exactly who you still need before you send the next reminder.
Does this work for PTO and classroom volunteers?
Yes. PTO committees, classroom readers, field trip chaperones, book fair shifts, and teacher appreciation week all work the same way: a row per role and a limit per row.
Can I keep the volunteer list private?
Yes. Choose a link-only sheet, add a passcode so only your school community can open it, or make it public if you want anyone to be able to help.
