Send both in your existing text thread or email. The link on its own reveals nothing without the code.
Approve members as they join
Each entry is pending until you approve it, and a pending member can't see the list at all.

What makes it hold up over time
People update their own details from the same link, so there's no "final v3" copy.
Each member decides whether to share a phone number, an email, or just a name.
No code, no list. A forwarded link is worthless to an outsider.
Pending entries see nothing about the group, not even a member count.
Only the organizer signs up, and that's free too.
Remove one entry or shut the list down when the group is done.

What details can the list hold?

As many as you need, and they all live together under Contact lists in your account.
