Team snack
sign-up

The team manager job nobody wants is chasing snack every week. Put every game on one list, let each family claim the date that works for them, and be done with it in one message.

Three steps, about a minute

1

Drop in the game schedule

A row per game with the date and opponent. Copy it straight from the league schedule email.

2

One family per game

Limit each row to one. Note the team's allergy rules in the title so it is visible before they claim.

3

Post the link in the team chat

One message covers the season. Parents pick their date instead of you assigning weeks.

Why team managers use it

Whole season in one link

Every game date lives on one sheet. Families that travel in October can grab a September date instead.

Reminders before game day

A parent who claimed a date in August gets a nudge before their game, not a panicked text from you.

Roster count included

Add an RSVP section and you also know who is actually coming, so snack is bought for the right number.

Questions

How do I organize a team snack schedule?

List every game as its own row with the date, limit each row to one family, and share one link with the team. Parents pick a date they can cover, which fills faster than assigning families in order.

How much snack should one family bring?

Enough for the roster plus two or three, in individually portioned form. For a 12-player team that is a dozen waters and a dozen single-serve snacks. Put the roster count in the sheet title so nobody has to ask.

What are good post-game snacks?

Orange slices, clementines, grapes, pretzels, goldfish, nut-free granola bars, and freeze pops in a cooler on hot days. Anything wrapped or pre-portioned is easier for a coach to hand out at the sideline.

How do I handle team allergies?

Put the restriction in the sheet title and repeat it in each game row. Parents read it as they claim the date, before they shop.

What if a parent can no longer make their date?

They open the same link and release the row, which puts the date back on the board for someone else to claim. You see the change on the sheet without a chain of texts.

Do parents need to download anything?

No. The link opens in whatever browser they already have. A name and an email or phone is all it takes to claim a game.
