Chasing twenty-two families for phone numbers, then keeping the result in a spreadsheet anyone can download, is nobody's idea of a good week. Pip's contact lists flip it: you send one link and a short access code, each parent adds their own details and ticks what they're happy to share, and nobody sees the list until you approve them.

"Room 4 parents", "Ms. Alvarez 2nd grade" — whatever the group calls itself, plus a short code you send with the link.
Parents add their own row
Parent names, their child, and a phone number or email — each with its own share checkbox. No accounts and nothing to download.
You approve each family
New entries sit pending and see nothing about the group. Approve the families you recognize and they get access.

Why parents actually opt in
A phone number, an email, or just a name — each field is its own checkbox.
Without the code you send the group, the page shows nothing at all.
A pending entry can't see the list — not even how many families are on it.

Questions
Is a parent contact list free?
Yes. Creating a list, collecting opt-ins, and approving families are all free — no Pip Plus needed.
Do parents need to create an account?
No. They open the link, enter the access code, and add themselves. Only the organizer needs a free Pip account.
What if a parent doesn't want to share a phone number?
They uncheck it. Sharing is field by field, so a family can be on the list with an email only, or just a name.
Can I use one list for two classes or a whole grade?
You can, but a list per class is easier to approve and keep accurate. Making a second list takes about a minute.
Can a family delete their details later?
Any time, from the same link — and you can remove an entry on request. Deletion is immediate.
